  • Major SIP-31 Deliverable Achieved:
    • Access to funding for Stacks projects.
  • Three Grant Programs Available:
    • DeGrants: Broader scope, content-friendly, soon to be launched.
    • Getting Started: 5-10k, product-focused for early market fit.
    • Build Grant: 10-50k, for established projects with 6+ months development.
  • AI-Specific Track Proposal:
    • HeroGamer suggested an AI-specific track to attract more AI developers.

Blockface’s AI Agent Hackathon Demo

  • Hackathon Submission - OpenClaw on Bitcoin:
    • Built in 5 hours using Claude/Cursor.
    • Created “AI Persuasion Agents” that autonomously transact STX on Bitcoin.
  • Training Data:
    • Used 700+ recorded Twitter Spaces for agent personalities.

SIP Process Improvements

Open Call for SIP Editors

  • Volunteer Recruitment:
    • Jesse actively seeking volunteers for SIP Editor roles (renaming to SIP Deputies).
  • Editor Responsibilities:
    • Enforce formatting standards, assign SIP numbers, check for duplicates. See SIP-000 for info
  • Application Process:

Governance & Process Clarifications

  • SIP Activation Methods:
  • Steering Committee Composition:
    • Proposed: 1 Foundation + 1 Stacks Labs + 1 Community + 2 alternates.
  • Community fallback:
    • Community can influence voting through forum discussion.
  • CABs & Steering Committee
    • Both CAB & SC membership also needs rotation/fresh blood.
    • Steering: Proposed: 1 Foundation + 1 Stacks Labs + 1 Community + 2 alternates
    • Need 3 of 5 quorum for decisions
  • One person can serve on up to 3 separate CABs (SIP Editors group can also be considered as a non-voting CAB)
  • Repository maintainers have final decision authority on unresolved comments
