Who provides the storage capacity for Gaia?

Hi, Guys,

I’m a new comer in blockstack. I’m a little bit confused about Gaia’s concept. Does Gaia provide Storage? From custom point of view, who pay for it? IPFS/Filecoin‘s main idea is that miner provide storage and custom pay for it. For Gaia, is the idea same?

The idea with Gaia storage is that the storage is user-controlled — the default gaia storage option is provided by Blockstack, but ultimately the intent is for users to run their own Gaia hubs. The backing storage system for Gaia hubs is configurable, supporting many different “drivers” for storage.

Is it difficult to create/configure new drivers say for example a cloud provider like pCloud.com?

It shouldn’t be too hard to create new drivers. The driver model and semantics are detailed here:
