Security Template Standardization

  • Transition from “trait” to “template” approach after feedback from Clarity Working Group. (Thanks to Setzeus, Friedger and Gary)
  • Senior developers actively evolving ideas during discussions.
  • Standardization aims to improve security of smart contract building and auditing.

SIP Development Process Evolution

  • Improved feedback collection process compared to six months ago.
  • Established workflow for SIP process flow, including forum post creation, SIP call discussions, and GitHub PR submissions.
  • Established workflow emerging:
    1. Stacks Forum post creation
    2. SIP call - discussion and direction
    3. Working group feedback (e.g. technical SIPs send to → Clarity Working Group)
    4. GitHub PR submission
    5. Comment resolution with SIP editors and community
    6. CAB voting when ready
    7. Community token voting if needed

Friedger’s Contract Identification Proposal

  • New SIP proposal for visual contract tagging.

    • Foundation/endowment approval verification process
    • Similar to NFT marketplace verification models

Stacks x402 V2 Updates

  • Payment standard using HTTP protocol (settlement on blockchain)
    • Even supports larger payments, not just micropayments
    • V2 has better cross-chain capabilities than v1
    • More token support

  • ZeroAuthorityDAO building real-time SIP tracker web interface
    • Step-by-step process tracker instead of written guides
    • Central place to direct new SIP authors / ideas proposers
  • Current process documentation needs refinement via SIP-000-1:
    • Map of existing workflow in genesis SIP-000
    • Ongoing defining improved future workflow via SIP-0001
    • Integrate improved process with ZeroAuthorityDAO platform gradually
