1. Agenda Overview

SIPs in Discussion

Open Governance Discussion

  • DevConnect insights & global outreach

  • Governance Processes & SIP Marketing, amplification outside the ecosystem. Stacks Legion coordination

  • “Governance Roundtable” planning

  • 2026 SIP/Governance “Wishlist” expectations, of what people would like to see

2. Key Meeting Highlights

DevConnect Insights & Builder Interest

  • Ethereum developers responded strongly when Stacks was clearly explained — Proof-of-Transfer, dual stacking, and Bitcoin programmability were “new information” for most participants.

  • Many non-Stacks devs impressed by earning ~5% yield while participating in Bitcoin DeFi.

  • Stacks Hacker House saw strong participation, especially from LATAM builders.

  • Broad consensus that Stacks needs to push outreach beyond its internal audience.

SIP Marketing & Ecosystem Amplification

  • SIPs contain highly marketable decisions/features that should be amplified beyond the echo chamber.

  • Suggested format: short 15–30s sound bites explaining SIP-03X, dual stacking, PoX mechanics, etc.

  • Coordination needed between Stacks Legion, governance, and the new Community Marketing WG.

  • Monthly Town Hall representation for SIP updates was reaffirmed.

Governance Strategy & 2026 Vision - “wishlist”

  1. Proposal to introduce a “Governance” Award category in Stackies for most engaged contributors.

  2. Position Stacks as a leading Bitcoin-anchored governance L2 across ecosystems. Interest in connecting with other chain governance communities for shared learning. Business onboarding opportunities surfaced — SIP features can support enterprise adoption.

  3. Governance Roundtable Planning

    • Targeted participants for comprehensive governance discussion. Focus areas: governance importance, cross-ecosystem positioning, community engagement and marketing strategies:

      • Alex Miller (Ecosystem leadership)

      • Mitchell/Claire (Foundation strategy)

      • Adriano/Jude/Brice: Core dev representative (SIP implementation perspective)

      • Rick/Brandon (Marketing)

      • Friedger (community SIP author rep)

      • Whoabuddy (Governance CAB Chairperson)

        • more..
    • Could meet on Google Meet and have this meeting live streamed via DeOrg

  4. Continuation of DeGrants (governance), specific focus on designing and preparing leading up to launched, which engages the community in the governance process of DeGrants.

  5. Branding kit for SIP - when there is consensus breaking SIP we can use it to spread the message. Its own mascot, and interact with other meme characters.

SIP Status Updates

  • SIP-033 final vote results are now permanently logged in the SIP repository.

  • SIP-032 (Improved Stacking) is realistically a 2026 implementation given required dev coordination.

  • SIP-03X needs increased visibility, clearer demos, and broader review. Video demos re-surfaced. More educational content required for technically dense SIPs.

:speech_balloon: Speaker Insights

  • PeaceLoveMusic: Emphasis on the opportunity: SIP outcomes are “marketing-grade content” not being leveraged. Outreach at DevConnect highlighted the gap between what Stacks is and what others think it is.

  • Haddy: Recognition is a powerful motivator; governance participation should be celebrated.

  • GPSC: Huge potential on “SIP Brand Kit” to scale up SIP marketing in and outside of ecosystem

  • HeroGamer: Taking actionable steps in SIP & Governance to end the year strong and to setup a bright year in 2026, Foundation will be in full support he believes. Governance is becoming a strategic focus area, and coordination across WGs to get the words out on SIPs essential.

:tada: Things to Celebrate

  • Strong external reception at DevConnect; increased curiosity from ETH developers.

  • SIP-033 voting now fully documented and locked in-repo.

  • Renewed energy around SIP content, branding, and education.
