Use existing account/bitcoin in V18.3+

Hi, I created my blockstack ID in June with Dropbox storage. I just updated to V18.3 and V19.0 on same machine, it seems to know my old ID, but I can’t really do anything - everything is blocked by this dialog to choose the default storage provider. If I click on http://localhost:8888/wallet/send-core I see the balance in the back but it’s blocked by the dialog.

Is there a way to dismiss the dialog so I can recover the bitcoin? The /Library files including wallet.json are there.

To compound things I want to renew my separate onename ID also but I don’t want to do that until I’ve gotten this resolved.

Thanks for any help!

@gojira The newer version does not support dropbox storage. Switch to the new storage option to continue.

Right I neglected to mention - when I do that, it ‘loses’ or ‘forgets’ the previous information. LIke the bitcoin wallet balance.

@gojira Are you still able to access the http://localhost:8888/wallet/send-core route and transfer your bitcoins to the browser wallet?

Thanks

So that is when I see the bitcoin balance in the background, but it’s blocked by modal dialog to choose storage provider.

If I choose the default storage provider, then I no longer see the bitcoin balance.

Can I downgrade blockstack to get past this?

Will the alpha fix this - or make it irreversible?

I have the local config files - can I recover the bitcoin by other means?

Thanks

@gojira The send-core route will still be there and upgrading may fix this issue. Please upgrade and give it another go.

Upgrade to alpha did not work.

However, downgrading to 11.2 did work!

Thanks
