Use Discord instead of Slack?

Slack is lovely but they have said they are not interested in supporting communities. Discord has a rich feature set tailored specifically for communities, I believe this to be self-evident upon even a loose inspection of the service.

I know it may be a pain to migrate so I understand if it’s not a priority but I do suspect it will be a pain point as the community scales.

Let me know what you think!

I think matrix.org is more appropriate.

Both of these are great suggestions.

We’re pretty busy for the next couple months but this is definitely something we could consider doing later in the year!

Here’s a related discussion from earlier: Interesting discussion on the migration of open source projects from Slack to a new platform

I recommend Keybase.io . They are good support for Teams and Channels along with Encrypted Git.
