Questions on USDCx Launch

Great to see USDCx coming to Stacks—stablecoins returning to Bitcoin is a big deal.

A few questions for transparency:

  1. What did it cost to get USDCx live on Stacks? Integration, audits, legal, coordination—what’s the ballpark?

  2. Who paid for it? Stacks Foundation? Treasury? Circle themselves? Some combination?

  3. Can the deal terms be made public? Even high-level breakdown would help the community understand how these partnerships work.

  4. Is Circle going to actively market this? Jeremy Allaire gave a shoutout, but will Circle be advertising Stacks and Bitcoin yield to their audience? Or is this a quiet integration where we do all the promotion?

Not asking to be critical—genuinely curious how these things get done and what the ecosystem gets in return. More transparency on partnership economics helps everyone understand the value flow.

HeroGamer:

STX positioned as “staking capacity” for Bitcoin deployment via bonding curve

200+ DATs holding $115B+ in BTC—what’s the pipeline look like? And custody is likely the blocker. Most use Fidelity, Coinbase Custody, BitGo. Are these custodians integrating with Stacks?

Also—will the self-custodial BTC asset have a different name than sBTC? Different trust assumptions, different tradeoffs, different name?

And for those of us building apps—what messaging can we reuse? If there’s clear positioning, app builders become a force multiplier.
