I recently was bridging a collection of tokens from Cosmos ecosystem with the intent of bringing that liquidity to Stacks.
Whilst bridging from many Cosmos chains is very easy, bridging to Stacks is really hard.
The โbestโ route for me was sending everything back into USDC on Arbitrim and Base, sending that to my CEX, swapping to STX, then sending that STX to Stacks. A lot of steps and way too much lost in fees.
The USDC from ETH to USDCx on Stacks on AllBridge cost me 0.32 USD of ETH for 2.36 USDC bridged (test tx) and took just over 20 mins.
So I didnโt go that route.
Iโd love to see STX and USDCx get added to a few of the large bridging protocols and make sure they offer good rates. Iโm thinking:
- Across
- Squid
- deBridge
Also can we get AllBridge to add USDCx swaps to lower fee EVM chains like Base and Arbitrim? Mainnet Ethereum is still the worst (slowest, most expensive) place to transact (after the Bitcoin L1).
How can we get that to happen? Is this something the core team at Stacks can work on?
