So how do I create a namespace/domain for myself?

I’ve been exploring the interface and I couldn’t figure out how to create a namespace/domain for myself.

In the intro videos I see that you can create something like “rick.id”

What am I missing?

Hey, Zotium. I think I know what you’re talking about and if not please disregard. But it sounds like you’re trying to acquire a name for your account, right? If so when you get to the Blockstack homepage click “ID.” After that click “Add Username.” At this point search for the name you want and after searching it’ll return a result letting you know how much BTC it costs to acquire your name. For mine, “kitsana.id” it’d cost me around .001906 BTC. Make sure you have enough BTC in your wallet to cover the cost and you should be set.

If you’re looking for something more than this then I’m sorry I couldn’t have been of help.

It says “You cannot create a username in this build. Feature coming soon!”

Hmm…that sounds really strange. Do you have the most current version of the Blockstack browser? A new one was released yesterday, but I know purchasing IDs has been available for quite awhile. Give that a shot and see if it works.

I just downloaded it and am experiencing the same issue. Not sure how to secure domains?
