  1. This SIP aims to organize a community vote for anyone with STX alongside the Non-sequential multisig transactions SIP.

  2. Even though sBTC Bootstrap SIP (v1) is not Consensus SIP, but as SIP author Andre S. has expressed, sBTC is so critical to the Stacks ecosystem and the community has been very actively involved, having community input and vote approval on eligibility criteria for signers is very important. You can listen at 32:30 mark at part 1 space link.

"After consulting with experts, there have been some changes to the SIP. For more details, check out the update: https://github.com/stacksgov/sips/pull/186

Here are the main changes:

  • Updated SIP formatting, SIP number, added links, authors, etc.
  • Reworked sections to be more clear and clarified the problem statement/solution
  • Removed most references to “v2” or any future work that’s out of scope for this SIP
  • Simplified the technical details and added more detail on signer responsibilities and voting
