New Stacks Governance Tool: SIP Tracker

Hey everyone,

Following SIP-031, one key focus of the Foundation is evolving our governance systems to be as accessible and transparent as possible. To that end, we are excited to share a new tool developed in collaboration with the Zero Authority team: The Stacks SIP Tracker.

The SIP Tracker is designed to be a central hub for navigating the Stacks Improvement Proposal process, making it much easier to see exactly where a proposal stands and how you can get involved.

What you can do with the tracker:

  • Follow early-stage ideas and SIP drafts and join the dialogue before they head to a vote.

  • Find “SIP 101” documentation and resources.

  • Jump Into Discussions: Use quick links to go directly to the relevant Forum threads and GitHub PRs where peer reviews happen.

  • Access final vote counts and historical vote data for each SIP (when applicable).

  • Navigate directly to the right place on GitHub to start drafting your own proposal.

Our goal is to lower the barrier to entry for governance, ensuring every builder and STX holder has the information they need to help shape the future of Stacks.

A huge thank you to the Zero Authority team for all of the work that went into this!

Finally, we’d love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to share any feedback or suggestions for the tool in the thread below.

Today is a real turning point for the Stacks ecosystem. Governance is shifting from an abstract idea into shared, visible infrastructure. At Zero Authority, the goal has been clear from day one: remove friction so every builder and every STX holder has the information needed to shape what comes next. Transparency is a tool we can use.
