Lost original Blockstack ID

I registered a new blockstack ID (stevenkng.id.blockstack) and I received the confirmation email with the long hash-like identifier. I logged in with that my recovery password, my username was no longer set. I logged back in with the identifier and found a different identifier starting with ID-xxxxxxxx I’d like to use the ID I set, but I cannot set it and it is unavailable.

Please advise.

It appears that my Blocstack ID has been restored. That was odd. Any idea what may have happened?

And now I can see it on my profile when I log on to the blockstack browser. For a while, it was gone.

Well at least you’re not me where if I were to just lose my block stack ID I just make another one
