The design was/is intended to evoke a strong feeling of decentralization in a modern way.

i like the undulating fractionated surface texture … and the colour palette of the first panel of the landing page …
now that I’ve scrolled down … I also like the clean transitions between the respective horizontal panels …
with editorials in the publications you list, i personally, would be putting my ‘skite’ sheet higher up the page … but, where it is isn’t in itself a detractor …
similarly, with the thumbnails of the tech luminaries who have already signed up, i’d consider making that the second panel , as opposed to the ‘why section’ …
but, all in all, i’d love a landing page as clean and considered as this
