How to renew an ID?

Hi all. I am wondering how I would know when I need to renew my .id and how to go about renewing it. Your assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

You’ll need to the the CLI to do that, via the renew command.

The xyzusername.id.blockstack never expires right?

Is there a way an organization issue a permanent id too? Like “xyz.id.binance” and be permanent as well?

Id renewing seems very inconvenient, so it would be good to have alternatives to .id.blockstak that are permanent

Correct. Off-chain names never expire.

Since xyz.id.binance is off-chain, it doesn’t expire either.

They are.

On-chain names may or may not expire, depending on the namespace rules. This is because on-chain names are much more scarce.
