I have been using the in-browser version of block stack for a few days and when I finally tried to install the browser for Windows on my PC, I can import my keychain with the id associated with my profile, but the profile is empty (no picture, bio, verified SM accounts, etc). When I try to access the forum, I am not logged in. When I try to log in I get “incorrect user name, email or password” and when I try to login with block stack Windows prompts “did you mean to switch apps?” There is a BLOCKSTACK AUTH REQUEST GENERATOR in the background. Choosing “No” exits the prompt, but when I click “Connect” I get an error authorizing account “perhaps you did not approve authorization”. If I click “yes” I get the familiar sign in request with my blockstack ID but then I’m taken to a create new account screen. Can’t create new account because my email is already in use (by me) and trying to log in takes me back to square one. Help?
Yes!!! I can’t register and cannot get to my ID to confirm a second social media and cannot figure out how to sign in with the confirmed ID and key chain(s) that I already have! I have been working on this for two weeks now, intermittently.
@Jude, any help you can shed on this?
I now have 2 IDs, my ID picture is showing up on the new one rather than on the original one, and there appears to me no easy way to get back in once you leave your computer for more than a few minutes. When I had access to my IDs I could not find the pathway to register without creating a whole new ID and keychain.
Based on my experience and reading the comments, either this platform is too advanced for the masses or too buggy. Maybe it’s just a combination of a lot of people (myself included) who don’t really know what they’re doing trying to use something that is pretty early in it’s scale roll out. Either way, I hope it works; the token sale is kind of secondary for me. I just want a platform like this to succeed!
