Can You Access Token Sale?

When I try to login to the token sale app I get the message: “Oh No - Our servers are receiving too many requests right now. Please try again later.” I ca’t judge if that is the actual problem, but the browser console shows a server 500 response plus a CORS error.

I’ve tried many many times from both Chrome and Safari.
I’ve tested disabling all Chrome extensions, and clearing the cache, even resetting the Blockstack app and restoring from backup.

I’ve tested installing allow CORS Chrome extension. With that extension active I still get the error message and the console still shows the server 500 error, but not the CORS error.

Here is a screenshot of the console and error paGE: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l26e3fepirfvih4/BSTCKCORS.png?dl=0

I’d really love to hear from others, can you login? How to fix this?

Hey @mikkel, sorry you’re having trouble! We’re also seeing this error. There’s a lot of inbound requests to the sign-up servers. We’re working on the backend infrastructure to get this fixed ASAP. Stay tuned!

I can’t even get the page to appear on my laptops. I want to register but all 3 of my computers show a white page on www.blockstack.com and blockstack.org!

I finally got it to work, after installing 20.1 version, and maybe some luck? Looks like there are more people having this problem. I’m on MacOS High Sierra in Chrome.

Hey @skybach,

Do you remember if you’ve used an older version of the browser in the past? This error usually occurs if there is some leftover state from old versions. Can you try either clearing localStorage from the developer console, or trying to load the browser in Incognito mode in Chrome? Thanks!

Hey @suesue, sorry to hear that!

Can you try doing a hard-refresh on those pages, or opening them in incognito mode?

Will try later today. Very frustrating and I don’t want to miss out. Just strange that this has happened. Will let you know if it works. Wish there was a helps desk number to call over there.

I am also have trouble completing registration…80%. I am using 20.1 , made repeated attempts today and yesterday.

  • 3 social media successfully registered
  • cannot upload photo
  • cannot change user name
  • cannot choose store method other than default

I have tried:

  • clearing cache
  • clearing storage in developer tools (cleared my confirmed social media)
  • alternate browsers (chrome mac, safari, chrome windows)
  • different os (mac, windows)
  • fresh account with new words
  • re-entering words
  • re-installed blockstack

Still not working. This is crazy. Please help. !!!

Incognito has me running in circles. Keeps telling me I have to create an account. Is it possible to register if someone else already has it dowbloaded? My brother has downloaded and registered. Can I use his computer for now to register since I do have an account already set up?

I have tried removing localStorage before. Doesn’t help.

And signin from incognito will pop up the authentication url in a non-ingonito browser window.
