In reference to @larry 's post about adding Blockstack to Discord, I would like to share how I added Blockstack to Matrix (for OI Chat) using no JWTs but the Gaia storage.
I feel that Matrix is to chat what Gaia is to storage. A Matrix server is a server and in that sense centralized, however, matrix servers are federated and in that sense decentralized. Users can choose which server they want to use.
