Agenda

Please reply to this forum post with items you would like included on the agenda.

Each item should include:

Item name
Background information: Links to github issues, forum posts, etc with background information on the item
Desired outcome: what decision or deliverable would you like from the discussion of this topic at the meeting?

Announcing the issues we’re working on

Background – We’re trying to make it a bit more clear what issues in our developer platform we’re tackling on a week-to-week basis, so we’re announcing the issues that the Blockstack PBC development team is working on here, and also tracking them on a kanban project board here. If you as a developer don’t think we’re working on an issue that’s important to you, please voice that issue in this meeting, or reply to this forum thread.
Desired Outcome – Everyone happily tracks the issues we’re working on, and they solve all of everyone’s problems

Notes

  • @aaron will make a weekly post to the meeting agenda with the issues we worked on last week, what we finished and what we didn’t which we will discuss at meeting
  • We discussed usage of containers in blockstack infrastructure in response to a question by @ShankarGanesh_PJ
  • In the future this engineering meeting will be a great place to talk about engineering issues that cut across projects. In this meeting we talked about:
    • Gaia related auth changes https://github.com/blockstack/blockstack.js/pull/503
    • Changes to the browser to enable configurable gaia hubs
    • Addressing pull requests quickly
    • Our views on where documentation should live for different projects. Mary is working on a proposal for this.

I thought the plan was roughly:

  1. Agenda item each week is what we’re working on currently

  2. Each week, a separate post which is “what we finished”, as a way to highlight platform victories to the community, per @retired_user and @jeffd’s suggestions on increasing visibility for that aspect.
